Record Store Day 2024
This rare live document of Wall Of Voodoo, available for the first time on vinyl, shows a band so wired up and finely tuned, that they could sonically hypnotize and lay waste to a live audience. Recorded live 11/22/1979 at the Barn, University of California, Riverside, this is one of the best-recorded documentations of the entire LA post-punk scene, and includes two songs, “End Of An Era” and “Invisible Man, that have not appeared on any other record.
Remastered for this Record Store Day 2024 release by the original live recording engineer Jim Hill and pressed on black ice vinyl.

For years now Wardruna founder Einar Selvik has done acoustic concerts and lectures, performing Wardruna songs on his own, as well as creations made for the TV-show “Vikings” in an acoustic format. Now parts of this material has finally been recorded “live in studio” in Solslottet Studio in Bergen (Norway), and was released through By Norse Music on November 23rd 2018.
The exclusive RSD 2024 edition features a brand new bonus track and comes as 2x12" Transparent Red & Black Smoke vinyls; with the original Gatefold artwork masterfully revisited by Polish vinyl artisan and designer Bartek Rogalewicz (Behemoth, Mayhem, etc.); and includes two exclusive bonus tracks nevery released on vinyl before.
“Skald” takes the listener on a musical journey outside the massive soundscape that Wardruna is known for and into a simpler and more direct form, where voice, poetry and ancient instruments like Kravik-lyre, Taglharpa and Bukkehorn lead the way.
Einar Selvik comments:
“Skald” was recorded live in the studio with the intention of capturing the raw and uncompromising energy of a live performance rather than aiming for a flawless and polished expression. It sets out to give voice to the ancient craft that once lay at the heart of the Norse oral traditions, presented as it takes shape in the hands of a humble contemporary skald today.
The album contains an extensive booklet with all lyrics translated as well as a solid introduction to the Skald and Old Norse poetry written by the acclaimed Icelandic author and Old Norse philologist Bergsveinn Birgisson.
Wilco’s legendary 2011 album, now on three LPs, expanded to include all related single, EP and bonus tracks plus a selection from The Loft's archive of live in-studio performances and previously unreleased alternate mixes and demos. This special Record Store Day 2024 release includes Wilco classics "Art of Almost", "Dawned on Me”, "Sunloathe” and many others.
Willie Nelson’s 1974 classic, celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2024.
If Shotgun Willie played a bit like a concept album, Phases and Stages was full-blown, tracing the dissolution of a marriage and devoting one side to the wife's perspective, the second to the husband's…. Phases and Stages is easily the equal of its remarkable predecessor, a wonderful set of music that resonates deeply, as deeply as the words.
Make no mistake -- the deceptively relaxed arrangements, including the occasional strings, not only highlight Nelson's clever eclecticism, they also heighten the emotional impact of the album. And this is a hell of an emotional record, where even each side's celebratory honky tonk numbers (the medley "Sister's Coming Home/Down at the Corner Beer Joint" and "Pick Up the Tempo," respectively) are muted by sadness. Then, there are the centerpieces: "Walkin'," where the woman decides it's time to move on; "Pretend I Never Happened," perhaps the coldest ending to a relationship ever written; "Bloody Mary Morning," a bleary-eyed morning-after tale that became a standard; "It's Not Supposed to Be That Way," a nearly unbearably melancholy account of a love gone wrong; and "Heaven and Hell," a waltz summary of the relationship. Any two of these would have formed a strong core for an album, but placed together in a narrative context, their impact is even more considerable. As a result, this is not just one of Willie Nelson's best records, but one of the great concept albums overall.
