The Funeral Portrait stands to represent the outcasts from all walks of life. The misunderstood, the weird, neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, marginalized, & otherwise given an unfair hand in life. To offer a sense of community, a place to belong & a space where they can feel safe & accepted for their differences. They all grew up "the weird kid" who was saved by music & the alternative culture, so they now feel obligated to return this favor to the younger generation. This message is shouted to the masses through their over-the-top theatrics & dramatic, almost blown out, presentation. The Funeral Portrait believes in the power of Devotion to their Music and to their unwavering fanbase, The Coffin Crew. The ritual is beginning & they want everyone involved. Join us Friday the 13th to share your devoutness; excuses for not attending are forbidden. New album available September 13th across all digital platforms and on CD, cassette, and vinyl.

The Surface Seems So Far is unapologetically aggressive, kicking off with the barn-burning “Judas Mind.” This isn’t to say the album doesn’t have moments of melancholy, like “Regret.” The record takes many twists and turns, emphasizing catchy hooks and driving bombast. Songs like the chunky but atmospheric “Illusion,” the pulsating “Lost All Control,” the dynamic neo-grunge of “Same Mistakes,” and the moving and immersive “Dead on the Vine” are massive additions to the Seether catalog. Seether sounds alternately confident and confessional, full of vitriol and vulnerability.

Blood Incantation’s Absolute Elsewhere is unlike anything you’ve ever heard before. Few can claim a sonic watershed as readily as the Denver, Colorado quartet. At roughly 45 minutes, the two compositions that make up this album are as confounding as they are engaging in their scope, melding the 70's prog leanings of Tangerine Dream (whose Thorsten Quaesching appears on „The Stargate [Tablet II]”) with the deathly intent of Morbid Angel. Blood Incantation has already proven themselves, perfecting progressive death metal with 2019's Hidden History of the Human Race while branching out into exclusively synth-driven soundtrack territory with 2022's Timewave Zero. Now, with Absolute Elsewhere, which takes its title from the mid-70's prog collective (best known as a celestial stopover for King Crimson drummer, Bill Bruford), Blood Incantation are leaving the notion of genre behind and writing a new language for extreme music itself

New York-based death metal greats Undeath emerge from festering slime with their new album, More Insane, for Prosthetic Records. Previous album It's Time... To Rise from the Grave caught a wave of acclaim on TheNeedleDrop's YouTube channel, earned Best New Music from Pitchfork, and, most impressively, rocketed to the top of Decibel Magazine's Top 40 Albums of 2022, along with a coveted cover feature. On More Insane, Undeath—featuring Kyle Beam (guitars), Alexander Jones (vocals), Tommy Wall (bass), Jared Welch (guitars), and Matt Browning (drums)—feast on the rotten flesh of brutality, complexity, and depravity. Singles "Brandish the Blade," "Disputatious Malignancy," and the title track are imbued with death metal's immortal soul but possess Undeath's inimitable energy, pit-friendly hooks, and work-hardened ethos. Undeath rose to infamy since forming in Rochester, New York, in 2018. From the gory, wild-eyed splatter of the band's embryonic period (Demo '19 and Sentient Autolysis) to the fervent fan and press acclaim of debut Lesions of a Different Kind (2020) and Billboard Chart-topping successor It's Time..., the Rochesterians' mastery of the extremely extreme is no mean feat. They've logged over 250 shows to date (sharing the stage with Exodus, The Black Dahlia Murder, Suffocation, et al.), played festivals in the U.S. (Decibel Metal & Beer Fest, Milwaukee Metalfest), Denmark (Copenhell), the Netherlands (Into the Grave), the U.K. (Download, Damnation), and Beam even has a Dunable Guitars signature model, the 'Skeletonizer.' Undeath not only knuckled down on effort, but most importantly, they've written great songs, like "Rise from the Grave," "Lesions of a Different Kind," and "Necrobionics." More Insane intensifies all aspects of Undeath's horrifying visage. "The songwriting is the same as always—riffs, drums, vocals, brutality," exclaims Beam. "Writing began before It's Time… was released. 'Dead From Beyond' was the first track completed, while a few tracks took slightly longer to form up. 'Cramped Caskets (Necrology)' was the most recently completed track. 'Bones Clattering in the Cave' is a Tommy [Wall] track, and Jared [Welch] also brought his A-game to

With the tragic passing of TBDM frontman and co-founder Trevor Strnad in 2022, after a period of profound grief and soul-searching, band co-founder Brian Eschbach moved from guitar to vocals. Former TBDM member Ryan Knight returned to take Eschbach’s place on guitar. The new lineup made their debut in TBDM’s hometown of Detroit in October 2022 for a tribute show for Strnad. “Everyone that’s in the band now is someone that Trevor and I searched for,” Eschbach says. “We spent so much time on the road together that everyone understands the mission statement. We don’t really need to talk about it. We just need to make great music and try to make people happy playing it.” Fans embraced the band’s decision to move forward. “The global outcry following Trevor's passing has shown us how important the band's music has been to so many people, and how important it is that we continue in his honor,” says lead guitarist Brandon Ellis. “You can never please everybody, but I know this music will be a healing and positive force for those who embrace it.”

Once there was a dream. And once upon a time - many, many moons ago - there was an enchanting summery twilight - a night full of wishes - on the rocky shores of a North Karelian island. There and then, under the luminous sky and by the crackling campfire, the magic was refined: beautiful acoustic melodies and serene chords began to shine with shooting stars. No difficulty has been able to stop them ever since as they have wandered the path of the elves, gazed at the stars, recited the poems of dead boys, slayed dreamers and wandered the meadows of heaven - just to name a few twists and turns along the fascinating journey. They were certainly there - and they are still here. They are the Finnish / Dutch / British troupe NIGHTWISH - one of the most fascinating rock bands of the last decades, whose enigmatic paths have proceeded from acoustic passages to symphonic heavy metal and from catchy folk to progressive majesty. If there is one trait the band has year after year, it might be this: expect something familiar but also expect the unexpected. NIGHTWISH has indeed broken all kinds of boundaries - never deliberately, but perfectly naturally. Now guess what? NIGHTWISH's new studio album "Yesterwynde" - the band's tenth overall - is no exception to the rule. There's a fascinating, but inexplicable feeling that NIGHTWISH has once again been able to find unprecedented nuances, spices and perspectives in their new works - exactly: after a career of nine classic albums. "Yesterwynde" is an experience that takes time to digest. The gravid ingredients of the songs are easily recognizable, but beneath the surface lies a large number of intriguing details and features. The lyrics of "Yesterwynde" deal with large-sized universal themes: memories, mortality, humanism, time and much more. The new album is the conclusion of the trilogy - textually it follows in the footsteps of it's predecessors "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" and "Human. : II: Nature" while at the same time, "Yesterwynde" is the band's most lyrically driven album. And what does the term 'yesterwynde' mean? It describes a feeling that cannot be found in any human language. That's why Nightwish had to invent a whole new word. Formed in 1996 and working with Nuclear Blast since the release of their highly lauded 2004 album "Once", NIGHTWISH have gained international fame and success selling more than ten million records and receiving more than 60 gold and platinum awards, with seven No #1 albums and thirteen No #1 singles to date. In October 2018, NIGHTWISH was inducted into the Tähtikatu - Walk of Fame Finland, becoming the honorary gallery's eleventh member. 2020 saw the release of the band's last studio record, "Human. : II: Nature". that crowned the band's discography with another No #1 success in Finland and Germany as well several other impressive chart entries worldwide.
