Multi-platinum selling artist Thirty Seconds to Mars makes a triumphant return with their sixth studio album, It’s The End Of The World But It’s A Beautiful Day. The record heralds a new era for the band, one that not only explores the darker sides of the human experience but the hope as well, an arresting reminder that even in the face of seemingly impossible obstacles, there is still beauty to be found in the world.
In conjunction with the new music, the band recently spoke with Rolling Stone, who declares, “he [lead singer Evan Felker] is more focused and lyrically crisp than at any point in his life. He’s a poet, but he’s direct.”
Produced by Shooter Jennings and recorded at Muscle Shoals’ Fame Recording Studios and Dave’s Room in Los Angeles, A Cat in the Rain marks a long-awaited return for the band following their self-imposed hiatus in 2019. With these ten new songs, Turnpike Troubadours is back with a refreshed perspective on the authentic songwriting and signature foot-stomping sound that first captivated their deeply devoted fanbase.
Pioneers of the Red Dirt music scene, Turnpike Troubadours has amassed a massive following throughout their career with over 1.28 million equivalent units sold to-date. Originally from Tahlequah, OK, Turnpike Troubadours is Evan Felker (vocals, guitar), Kyle Nix (fiddle), Ryan Engleman (electric guitar), RC Edwards (bass), Gabe Pearson (drums) and Hank Early (steel, accordion).
Known for their relentless touring and electric live shows, the band will perform through this fall including newly confirmed headline shows at New York’s Beacon Theater, Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium (two nights), Washington DC’s The Anthem, Los Angeles’ Greek Theater and Fort Worth’s Billy Bob’s (three nights) among several others. The band will also perform at select festivals this summer including Newport, RI’s Newport Folk Festival, Pryor, OK’s Born & Raised Festival, Memphis, TN’s Mempho Music Festival and Charleston’s Riverfront Revival Music Festival.
Global icon and recent Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Dolly Parton, has joined forces with some of rock music’s most legendary artists along with today’s biggest stars for her first-ever rock album, Rockstar. The ever-evolving Parton teamed up with an all-star roster of musicians for the 30-song collection which includes 9 original tracks and 21 covers of iconic rock anthems.
Produced by Chris Thomas (Roxy Music, Sex Pistols, Pretenders, Wings), ‘Empty Glass’ was Townshend’s next solo release appearing in April 1980. The songs predominantly deal with issues Townshend was struggling with at the time, including the death of Keith Moon, the Who’s former drummer.
These limited-edition black vinyl versions have been mastered by long-time Who engineer Jon Astley and cut for vinyl by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios with a half-speed mastering technique which produces a superior vinyl cut and are packaged in original sleeves with obi strips and certificates of authenticity. ‘Empty Glass’ features a full-colour inner beg with full lyrics and a 300mm x 600mm poster.
‘Rough Mix’ was initially released in September 1977 while The Who were on hiatus and was a collaboration with Small Faces bassist the late Ronnie Lane and features contributions from Who bassist John Entwistle, Eric Clapton, and Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts amongst others.

The sophomore album from 11x Platinum-certified, 43x Gold-certified, and GRAMMY®-winning rock icon COREY TAYLOR .“I have no fear when it comes to music. None,” Corey Taylor declares. “It feels so good to really lean into the things that I've been chomping at the bit to do.” Those “things”? The 13 diverse, unforgettable songs on CMF2, ranging from the punchy, timeless first single “Beyond” to “Someday I’ll Change Your Mind,” a soaring, sentimental stunner with an infectious chorus. The songs move seamlessly from the punk rawness and anthemic rallying cry of “We Are The Rest” to the acoustic lament “Breath Of Fresh Smoke” to “Post Traumatic Blues,” which has a wild sensibility that echoes the lyrical topic of PTSD.
Unreal Unearth is the highly anticipated new album from Grammy nominated Irish singer-songwriter, Hozier. `Tension' is eleven tracks of unabashed pleasure-seeking, seize-the-moment, joyful pop tunes with the hypnotic electro of `Padam Padam' opening the album.
-
Discussing `Tension', Kylie says, "I started this album with an open mind and a blank page. Unlike my last two albums there wasn't a `theme', it was about finding the heart or the fun or the fantasy of that moment and always trying to service the song. I wanted to celebrate each song's individuality and to dive into that freedom. I would say it's a blend of personal reflection, club abandon and melancholic high."
-
Kylie's glittering career has seen her amass sales of over 80 million records worldwide, 5 billion streams and 8 UK No 1 albums. Her multiple awards include 3 BRIT awards, 2 MTV awards and a Grammy. She is the only female artist to score a No 1 album in five consecutive decades in the UK. Her 2019 Glastonbury performance was the most-watched TV moment in the festival's history. In so many ways she stands alone in the pop arena - a superstar artist whose constant reinventions and explorations keep her firmly rooted in the present whilst defining and celebrating much of our collective past.

Since announcing their arrival with debut album in 1991, Blur went on to revolutionise the sound of English popular music with six successive UK #1 albums and a string of Top 10 singles, including two No 1s, helping to propel the band to mass popularity at home and abroad. One of the biggest British bands of the last three decades, Blur have released eight studio albums and collected ten NME Awards, six Q Awards, five BRIT Awards and an Ivor Novello Award, and played live to millions of devoted fans across the globe.
Whilst they are an iconic band, the new music truly feels like they have re-invented their sound for 2023 and we should really amplify the commercial viability and youthful leaning sound to reach new audiences.
The album is truly incredible body of work which is beautifully layered, with real stand-out singles which is understandably described by the band as one of their best creations.
Over the past eight years Teenage Wrist have continually evolved their sound, a process that’s peaking with their third full-length, STILL LOVE. Reaching new heights in both scope and execution, the album sees the duo—Marshall Gallagher (vocalist, guitarist, bassist) and Anthony Salazar (drums, vocalist, percussion)—producing the album themselves to handcraft their most expansive collection of songs to date from the ground up. The result is a self-realized collection of songs that saw the band borrowing vintage gear, bringing in friends in the form of members from 311 vocalist/turntablist Doug “SA” Martinez and Softcult and incorporating tasteful pop sensibilities to craft a collection of songs that redefines the band’s sound while staying true to their guitar-driven roots.
From the atmospheric, fuzzed out opener “Sunshine” (which Gallagher says is “the coolest riff he’s ever written”) to the midtempo rocker “Dark Sky’’ (the latter of which features the aforementioned cameo from 311 vocalist/turntablist Doug “SA” Martinez), the album will undoubtedly please fans who favor distorted guitars and crunchy chords. However, that’s only one aspect of the album and Teenage Wrist aren’t ashamed to admit that there’s a strong pop sensibility on the album that shows how much they’ve grown as songwriters since 2021’s Earth is a Black Hole. From the brain-invading ballad “Something Good” to the downbeat electronic vibe of “Diorama,” the album is teeming with unexpected moments that are reminiscent of Radiohead’s flair for experimentation.
The powerful bond between these two collaborators lies at the core of Teenage Wrist’s music and, more than any other factor, that’s evident on every moment of STILL LOVE. “There was a certain feeling that music gave me as a kid and this is honestly the first time on any record I feel like we kind of came close to achieving that,” Gallagher says of the end result. “We just shot from the gut on this record and tried not to overanalyze things... and I think the record speaks for itself.”
Royal Blood ignite an epic summer ahead as they announce the September 1st release of their fourth album ‘Back To The Water Below’.
From the very beginning, Royal Blood’s story has been one of two life-long friends whose shared passion and dedication for writing and performing has led them on a remarkable adventure together – a story that has yet to be repeated, and is a feat as rare as it is remarkable. Long before Royal Blood were even formed, they spent years together in various bands playing to half empty bars around Brighton - and only then did they suddenly become a decade-in-the-making overnight success story. One day they were plotting how to recoup the meagre £300 they had spent on their first recording, but within a year they were at the top of UK album charts, storming Glastonbury and winning the BRIT Award for Best British Group.

Reneé Rapp’s debut album Snow Angel kicks off her new era of music by putting her heart on full display as she continues to round out her already multidimensional artistry. Executive produced by Alexander 23, the album captures Rapp’s ability to unabashedly speak her truth, whether it’s through emotional ballads or pop hits. Following it’s surprise digital release, Sigur Rós’ first new studio album in ten years, ÁTTA, is their most intimate and emotionally direct record to date. Few bands cut through the noise and distractions of the world to bring you a pure elemental truth or feeling like Sigur Rós. As you hear on ÁTTA, there’s a new compulsion and drive to the band that comes with the new formation of the line up. Multi-instrumentalist Kjartan Sveinsson is back in the fold – having left the band in 2012 – to join frontman Jónsi and bassist Georg Holm. Recorded across multiple continents - in the band’s Sundlaugin studio in Iceland, the legendary Abbey Road in the UK and a number of studios in the US - ÁTTA leans heavily towards the orchestral, and touches on everything that has made Sigur Rós one of the most ambitious and acclaimed bands of recent times, with close to ten million albums sold, whilst signposting an exciting and expansive possibility for their future. ÁTTA prominently features the London Contemporary Orchestra conducted by Robert Ames, alongside brass performed by longtime Icelandic collaborators Brassgat í bala. It is mixed and co-produced by another frequent collaborator Paul Corley, alongside the band."
Black Rainbows is a musical project inspired by the objects and artworks collected by Theaster Gates at the Stoney Island Arts Bank in Chicago. Situated at the Great Grand Crossing neighborhoods of Chicago's South Side, Stoney Island Arts Bank is a cathedral to Black Art, a curated collection of Black archives comprising books, sculpture, records, furniture and problematic objects from America's past. As well as being a site for archive, the Arts bank is also a place for convening. Bailey Rae attended The Black Artists Retreat there in 2017 and performed in the space.
Wide ranging in it's themes, Black Rainbows' subjects are drawn from encounters with objects in the Arts Bank. Taking us from the rock hewn churches of Ethiopia, to the journeys of Black Pioneers Westward, from Miss New York Transit Queen 1957, to how the sunset appears from Harriet Jacobs' loophole. Black Rainbows explores Black femininity, Spell Work, Inner Space/Outer Space, time collapse and ancestors, the erasure Black childhood and music as a vessel for transcendence. The project will be released in various iterations - live performances, books, visuals, lectures, exhibitions, and more. Sonically, the album is a multi-genre mix of the progressive R&B, neo soul sound that will be familiar to fans but it also contains rock, jazz and electronic elements. The album was produced by S.J. Brown and Corinne Bailey Rae.

The Tallest Man On Earth – the project of Swedish musician Kristian Matsson – presents Too Late For Edelweiss, an album of new covers out ANTI.
With Too Late For Edelweiss, Matsson weaves together a sparse collection of home recordings made in Sweden and North Carolina, captured fresh off a 39-date run with the adrenaline of tour rattling through his veins. The songs on Too Late For Edelweiss have been with Matsson since he started playing music as The Tallest Man on Earth in 2006. In those early years, Matsson used to perform “Lost Highway” by Hank Williams before he had enough songs to flesh out a full set.
In July 2022, Matsson released a cover of Swedish super star Håkan Hellström’s “För sent för Edelweiss,” a precious song that has been The Tallest Man’s walk-on music before every performance for over a decade and what inspired the title of this covers album. Since then, in the lead-up to this announcement, he has quietly released other selections, including Lucinda Williams’ “Metal Firecracker,” Yo La Tengo’s “Tears Are In Your Eyes” and now “Lost Highway.” Mattson explains, “When I was a teenager I borrowed a Hank Williams album at the local library, and ‘Lost Highway’ has been haunting me ever since. Many vocal sound checks throughout my career have heard Hank’s advice.”
As much as Too Late For Edelweiss feels like a scrapbook, an intimate memento with the ghosts of The Tallest Man’s earlier, sparser sound hovering at the edges, it’s also just the artifact of a moment - a flash of joy, of feeling recharged, of feeling good. These are the songs that happened to be in Matsson’s head at the time he sat down to record. It came together so simply and easily – and in that way, it’s the purest distillation of making music - and being a fan of it, charting the connective tissue of a songwriter’s life.
The group’s second LP for Epitaph finds HUNNY playing in a brand-new musical sandbox, balancing the haze of hindsight with a sun-soaked SoCal summer.
From the meditative track “my own age” and breakbeat-backed, late ’90s-leaning “all my luck” to the lo-fi punk standout “ring in your ear” (featuring Motion City Soundtrack’s Justin Courtney Pierre) and made-for-dashboard-drumming “89cc” (complete with a searing sax solo) the album is a testament to the band’s musical fluency and dedication to their craft.
HUNNY was born out of the tight-knit North LA indie-rock scene of the mid-2010s, sharing stages and even band members with acts like The Neighbourhood and Bad Suns from an early age. The band is well established in the digital space, having racked up over 300+ Million streams to date on their catalog.
By the time the band had secured a record deal with legendary Epitaph Records and released their 2019 debut full-length, Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes., outlets like Alternative Press were hailing HUNNY – vocalist/guitarist Jason Yarger, guitarist Jake Goldstein, bassist Kevin Grimmett and drummer Joey Anderson – for their spin on “perfunctory electronic and new-wave pop, teeming with love, heartbreak, neuroses and impeccably sweet dancing shoes.”
Now, on the verge of entering their second decade together, it’s clear HUNNY’s greatest asset is their disinterest in doing anything besides what moves them. It’s afforded them great range as a band, the ability to naturally shapeshift on their own albums as well as win over audiences across the entire rock spectrum. Most importantly, it’s propelled them to be unapologetically themselves and trust what’s gotten them this far.
On Yard, Wisconsin-bred, Chicago-based four-piece Slow Pulp nes- tles comfortably into pockets of nuance, impressions, contradictions— sonics and lyrics finessed together to bottle the specific tension of a feeling you’ve never quite been able to find the right words for. In that regard, listening to Slow Pulp can feel like being in a room with someone who’s known you so long that they can read your every micro-expression and pinpoint exactly how you’re feeling before you can. Perhaps this spawns from the band’s own shared history and chemistry; in various ways, the four of them grew up—are still grow- ing up—together.
The dreamy songs of the Midwest indie rock outfit draw on moody shoegaze, hooky grunge, and intimate lo-fi fare. The band made their full-length debut with Moveys in 2020. After the downcast 2021 7” Deleted Scenes, they put the focus on hooky grunge pop for singles like 2021’s “In Too Deep” and 2023’s “Cramps.” Yard is their second full-length album and first for ANTI-.
LOVE + POP is a snapshot of a moment in not-so-far-away time; something fast, loud, moody and a little dangerous. It is, in some ways, classic Current Joys: full of wild ambition, sneaky hooky, and songs that move from concept to completion with a prolific speed. But LOVE + POP also explodes myriad expectations with aggressive, deconstructed production, house music influence, and a guest appearance from Lil Yachty.
