Lenny Kaye's place in music history is firmly secured as guitarist and founding member of the Patti Smith Group. His seminal anthology of ‘60s garage rock, Nuggets, has long been regarded as defining a genre. In his new book Lighting Strikes, he charts the story of rock ‘n’ roll, a story he knows well, as he continues to inspire audiences and readers alike. Following his songwriter muse, he's now committed an intimate new holiday tune to wax on his favorite format: the 7" vinyl record.
He's teamed up with Cedar Sparks, the duo of Tim Carbone (Railroad Earth) and Lou Rogai (Lewis & Clarke) to record and produce a trove of new songs, beginning with “Santa’s Knee”. Their own "Gathering Song" makes for the perfect B-side companion, inspired by seasonal depression, the commodification of Christmas, and the classic 1946 holiday film It's A Wonderful Life.
"Santa's Knee"/"Gathering Song"

The Dave Brubeck Quartet - Live from the Northwest, 1959 is the newest release from Brubeck Editions, the family run label that only puts out music of the highest musical and technical quality. These exciting performances were recorded by the trailblazing and iconic audio engineer, Wally Heider, who pioneered the art of remote recording from his "studio on wheels". The sound he achieved is stellar, and this is perhaps the best live recording you can hear of one of the most popular jazz groups of all time. The tapes were recorded in April 1959 at the Multnomah Jazz Club and Clark College, both in the Portland Oregon area. Four months later, the Dave Brubeck Quartet recorded their legendary LP, Time Out, and changed the course of jazz forever. This new LP showcases the poll-winning quartet at the peak of their improvisational powers, especially demonstrating their unique mastery of improvising counterpoint (a musical device updated from Bach) while swinging through jazz standards and original compositions.
These master musicians, (Dave along with Paul Desmond, Eugene Wright and Joe Morello) transcend time. The new Live from the Northwest - 1959 LP is sure to be a hit with audiophiles, Dave Brubeck fans, jazz aficionadas and lovers of great and timeless music around the world. Listening to this new release, you will feel like you are sitting in the jazz club fully immersed in high fidelity sound, on a night when the incomparable Dave Brubeck Quartet was firing on all cylinders!

Originally released in 1995 on Metal Blade Records, You Have the Right to Remain Silent is shock rock from members of the band GWAR and other musicians connected to the band. Peter Lee started this band after being shot in a failed carjacking attempt. The idea for X-Cops sparked while filming a commercial segment for Gwar’s Skulhedface. Lee and Dave Brockie were dressed as police officers and Lee pondered, “What would be cooler than a bunch of cops playing kick-ass rock and roll?” This led to Lee, Brockie and GWAR’s drum technician, Mike Dunn, starting X-Cops as a three-piece band.
You Have the Right to Remain Silent is more metal-oriented than what GWAR was releasing at the time (1995), with speed metal riffs, drums & relentless energy. While the lyrics are roll-on-the-floor laughable (intentionally), the music is seriously amazing. Highly recommended for those with a taste for offensive/tasteless/sick humor! If you’re a fan of GWAR & know what GWAR’s all about, then you’ve been missing out & should pick up this remastered album right away! X-Cops is an essential listening experience! This is the first time the album has ever been reissued and the first time ever released on vinyl (blood red splatter on clear vinyl). It comes with a full color 12x12 insert with lyrics.
• The original lineup featuring Lt. Louie Scrapinetti (Mike Derks), Cadet Billy Club (Mike Dunn), Patrolman Cobb Knobbler (Dave Brockie), Sgt. The last album with the original line-up (plus guitarist Yogi Lonich), 2001's Time Bomb showed that, for Buckcherry, there was no place to go but down. And we mean WAY down…lead singer Josh Todd could have won the award for Rock Star Least Likely to Survive the Year after this record came out. Tracks like "Slit My Wrists," "Whiskey in the Morning," and "Porno Star" capture and celebrate a lifestyle decadent even by the standards of the band's Sunset Strip stomping grounds. Yet, Todd and Buckcherry are still rockin' over 20 years later...and Time Bomb holds up with its post-AC/DC/Aerosmith/Guns 'N' Roses/Mötley Crüe unholy racket. First time on vinyl, in a metallic brown with black swirl pressing limited to 2500 copies worldwide, complete with inner sleeve!

Never A Dull Moment! – Live From Coast To Coast 1966-1967 is a previously unreleased collection of live recordings of unsung piano and vocal icon Les McCann captured in 1966 at the Penthouse jazz club in Seattle with Stan Gilbert, Paul Humphrey and Tony Bazley. Also featured are recordings by Resonance founder and Co-President George Klabin from the Village Vanguard on July 16, 1967, with Leroy Vinnegar and Frank Severino. This is an official release in cooperation with Les McCann. The Village Vanguard recording was previously released on CD in 1998 and has never been available on vinyl until now. This 3 LP set is pressed on 180g vinyl and includes an extensive booklet with rare photos, liner notes by music journalist A. Scott Galloway and author Pat Thomas, plus quotes from Roberta Flack, Monty Alexander, Roger Kellaway, Joe Alterman, Emmet Cohen and more. Eric Carr, who took up the rustic orange persona of “The Fox”, was a fan favorite and remained a member of KISS until his death. Carr’s only solo album, Rockology was completed after his death by fellow KISS member Bruce Kulick. This picture disc vinyl KISS Collector’s Edition, designed and mastered along with Loretta Carr (Eric’s sister) was imagined in the style of the original four KISS solo album, and falls in line with them, featuring Eric in his “Fox” makeup and a 12” x 24” poster in the style of the original releases. A must for fans/collectors of KISS.
